Pensacola inventor honored for work in robotics
One of the country’s pioneers of artificial intelligence is being recognized for his contributions to technology and research communities.
Ken Ford helped co-found the Florida Institute for Human and Machine Cognition (IHMC) in Pensacola.
Ford built a robotics empire in Northwest Florida that is recognized around the world.
IHMC is one of the premier research organizations.
Ford is one of eight inventors being inducted into the 2017 Florida Inventors Hall of Fame.
“It’s a great honor to be associated in any way with the remarkable people that are inducted into the Florida Inventors Hall of Fame,” Ford said.
In addition, he said, “To some degree I think it reflects not only on my own work, but on the work of my colleagues here at IHMC.
